Meet Dakota! Dakota is a real sweetie that will try and hypnotize you with her big brown eyes & soft ears that absolutely love to be petted. In fact all she seems to want in life is to be petted? but, if that's not feasible she wants to be as close to you as she can. (I think she is keeping me in site to make sure I don't run off not the other way around..haha) To pick a word that describes Dakota it would be quiet.. almost shy. She did not have a lot of self confidence wh en she first came to rescue but is improving, daily. She is learning how to walk on a leash, how to live in a home, and of course, housetraining. She does not seem to understand the concept of what to do with toys and does not have a ball drive. Dakota needs time and patience. With that, she will continue to blossom into a lovely, loyal, friend. She is willing to learn and appreciates treats. No cats for Dakota. She is a tad too interested. I also think she will do best with older, considerate children. She is a pleasure to have around and is around 2 years old so still has a lot to learn with a family to call her own. She will make a great addition to the family who doesn't want a high energy dog. She does do well with other dogs and is very submissive but is not interested in play.
